Studied art at the Art School in Malang from 1956 till 1960.
Moved to Jakarta to pursue his artistic carreer.
He developed a unique and recognisable style using brightly
coloured acrylics, often depicting women in their daily lives.
He was a personal friend of Pranoto and they exhibited together
in a group show in Jakarta in 1991.
